The Grandness is too much to photograph

I'm using this travelogue as a place to put some of my photos. The Canyon is just so vast that it's impossible to capture it adequately in a photo. In just 8 short hours, we watched the sky go from a perfect blue to a thunderstorm. Watching the lightning bolts stright the rim on the other side of the canyon was remarkable. And again, impossible to capture in photos. Alas.
