Myanmar Nainggan or the Union of Myanmar, stands for a union of all the different Myanmar Nationalities living together in his land. As Myanmar is situated between longitudes of about 90 to 100 East, we are six and a half hours ahead of GMT.
Myanmar has four main rivers running through the country from north to south ,namely, rhe Ayeyarwaddy, the Chindwin, the Sittaung and the Thanlwin. The longest and the most important is the Ayeyarwaddy. With a total length of 2090 kilometers, it starts and ends inside the boundary of Myanmar Nainggan. It is also the twelfth largest river in the world. |
| | In the far north, we have snow- capped mountains which are the extensions of the Himalayas. Among them, Mount Hkakaborazi, with a height of 5881 meters, is the highest peak in South East Asia. It also has a long sea coastline to the west, facing the Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. So, it has beautiful beaches and is rich in marine biodiversity.
Myanmar Nainggan is a union comprising many national races living together inside the country. According to the official records, it has 135 ethnic grouped speaking over 100 languages and dialects. It is a most wonderful fact about this country. |
| | The total population has reaches about 52 millions in 2001 and the population growth is 1.84 percent per year. Yangon is the capital of Myanmar with a population of over 5 million.
Myanmar is politically divided into even states and seven divisions. The Former capital is Yangon & now move to Pyinmanar. The other major cities are Mandalay, Mawlamyine , Pathein and Bago. Most cities have their business districts, shopping and entertainment areas. |
| | The official Language is the Myanmar Language which is understood by 90% of the population. English is also widely understood in the major cities, hotels and restaurants. Myanmar is famous for its rich natural resources like teak, precious stones and natural gas. It is also the golden land with glittering pagodas, rich archaeological sites, a wealth of culture, and colorful festivals through out the year. It is also blessed with breath taking scenic natural beauty, snow-capped mountains, rivers, beautiful beaches, pristine forests, exotic flowers and plants.
In addition to all these characteristics of Myanmar, it is most complimented by a most charming and hospitable Myanmar people |
