Travel Tips

The two cats in the following pics are my pride and joy. They greet me at the door when I come home from work and cuddle up when I'm feeling blue. Jasper is a Blue Point Siamese and Chelsea a domestic shorthair from the Humane Society. They get along like brother and sister. One moment you'll find them cuddled up nice and firendly and the next they're hissing and spitting at each other, typical siblings.
Jasper came to me in September of 1993 and Chelsea the following July.

Chelsea tends to be a bit of a diva at times, you only get to pick her up on her terms. Yet she'll come and cuddle up with her paws wrapped around your neck, so sweet.

Their food tastes vary, Chelsea's a wet canned food kind of gal and Jasper's all for his dry crunchy treats, not that Chelsea will turn her nose up at them. She'll beg for food and then look at it in the bowl and walk away. Oh so sorry, it was cold out of the fridge.
They love chicken and turkey and, of all things, angel food cake! I came home one day to find the pictured scene, Chelsea helping herself to the angel food cake which I had left on top of the fridge. One of them, and I suspect her as she's more agile, had knocked it off the fridge, the lid came off and it became a buffet for the pair of them.

Jasper's not your typical svelte Siamese, he's a bit pudgy. His nickname is Tubby. At he's worse he was 15 pounds though he's slimmed to down 11 pounds now and he's got the funniest belly wobble. The loose skin on his belly flaps around when he runs and it's just hilarious to see.
He's not the most agile either, has fallen off the bathroom counter a few times and once off the back of the TV. He has to prepare himself to jump onto the bed or anything else and it can't be too high. He hunches down, wiggles his little backside takes a few or ten seconds before he jumps.

Jasper likes to be on things whether it's a blanket on the couch, a box on the floor or a sheet of tissue paper on the bed. You put an item of clothing on the bed and that's where he wants to sit, mind you, Chelsea's the same way with clothes. Jasper will even do it with books though, he'll lounge against them with one arm on it, like a person leaning with them elbow.

Scenes like this don't last long, one will start belting the other eventually.
