|  | Near the church of Saint Jean Baptiste, you'll find the Musee National d'Histoire Naturalle. In addition, there is a cafe and an interior arcade that has this art exhibit. It is a wall of 504 artistic personalities by Luxembourg artist Roland Schauls. There is a quote next to the mural which says:
"If 500 people are famous, then none of them really is. So, in order to create recognisable personalities or outstanding characters, you have to push at least 490 or the 500 into the background. This does not mean that they are benevolently ignored; rather, these 490 have to have the reward for their work taken away to allow the 10 fortunate ones to come into the spotlight."
Not sure that I agree, but it's interesting. |

Luxembourg is NOT Europe's smallest sovereign state. Liechtenstein, Monaco and San Marino are smaller in area. Iceland has a smaller population. | matcrazy1 Sun Sep 3, 2006 01:45 UTC
