Great experience for women of all ages! Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) is a program put on by the British Columbia Wildlife Federation. Over the course of 3 days you try out different outdoor activites usually they include an educational and a practical component. There are a variety of courses to choose from including archery, survival, horseback riding etc. BOW is offered 1-3 times a year in a variety of BC locations (we went to Zajac Ranch in Mission, BC). A coworker recommended it to me as she had a blast. I thought it sounded great so a girlfriend and I went and had such a fabulous time we are going to go back again. The cost is approx. $300 CAN for 2 nights basic accomodation, all meals, the courses, t-shirt, other freebies. Check out the website: http://www.bcwf.bc.ca/programs/bow/index.html |
