We just recently bought our first boat. This is the story of the 1st launch from down the road at Hillary's Boat Harbour. Hubby and Dylan both just obtained their Skippers Ticket so I felt in relatively safe hands haha. Hubby's boating instructor took the boys out for a test run first. What a day!! We had a fabulous time!! |
| Boating at Hillary's Boat Harbour |
| | Well it was a gorgeous day for boating. The weather was beautiful and the sea was calm as we ventured out of the harbour |
| | Out in the ocean, Hubby opened the throttle and we all had to hang on. Then we came to a little conservation island where you can swim with the seals. I'm definately bringing my togs next time. |
| | My favourite spot, up front :o) The only thing missing was the Champas, and my baby Kelli. Well never mind, she's coming next time with a bottle for us to share :o) Cheers!! |
| | Janine, looking for the dolphins that Hubby & Dylan said they saw when they went out first. Mmmm, where did they go? |
| | Skipper Dylan checking out if there are any fish on the fishfinder. |
| | Of course Jesse had to have a go at driving. Janine is laughing in the background because Jesse kept taking us around in circles haha |
| | Skipper Howie looking the part :o) He was as happy as a pig in mud haha. Coming back in it was so busy, like Pitt Street in Sydney. I was quite proud of hubby because we had to wait in line, then he brought us in without bumping the boat. There was a bit of a drama when we all had to quickly move the rope over to the other side of the boat, but thought we did it quickly and without any hang ups :o) Boat went on easily and there were no embarrasing moments, thank goodness, because I felt everyone was watching us haha. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for more boating stories :o) |
