LATEST Meeting Report - 27 Jul 07, Oasis Porridge
Meeting up with muddybok, imstress,icyjo24, sailor_p is always a blast. All of us have known each other for some time already so jokes always flow thick and fast among us. Well, the creativity spilleth over and we came up with another spoof for another Visa India ad ( we love the orginal richard gere ad ). Only this time, it will involve Bok+1, pigeons, lotsa Indian beer, a platinum card and a wedding. We brought down Oasis Restaurant down with our laughter, never mind if everyone sitting around us were getting startled while trying to digest their porridge in peace. We vowed to meet again, maybe over crabs the next time. |

|  | Meeting report- 24Mar06:Just a couple of hours ago, we had another VT meet in the eclectic Tong Shui Cafe in Zion Road. Orginally, I organised this meet to welcome fellow gourmet traveller Sue but her friend. But she wasn't able to turn up due to an unfortunate accident and I had to carry on with the meet since many signed up. Glad I did, though this Cha Chan Teng ( Cantonese word for Tea House ) wasn't as good as the one in Siglap,everyone was tickled pink over the eccentric menu - Instant noodles with scallops! Coca Cola with Ginger! Mango with Chee Cheong Fun! The laughter carried onto Part Deux over at Spinelli's in Great World City where we discussed deep topics. Some samples - Where are there song and dance routines in Bollywood movies? Is there a Phillipines and India Idol? How much do Nigerian gigglos make in KL? LOL. Wanna find out the answers? | | Meeting Report - 23 Jun 06 : It's been quite a while since I last met up with the VT Singapore gang so it was a tremendous relief to return to this warm virtual family to catch up with the latest news. Our host for the evening was Peter (loisl) from Switzerland and beneath his soft-spoken and modest nature, was an Ironman triathelete! Peter regaled us with stories of his 13 hour race, his family life, soccer and chuckle, a unique Swiss watch that featured rabbits in ahem, various positions (Bunny Sutra Swatch!). On top of it all, he generously treated us to a delicious dinner and yummy Swiss biscuits. Thanks Peter for a wonderful evening! All of us also got acquainted with a newcomer from India,Shwets(Shweta). Welcome to Singapore Shweta, and may you enjoy many more VT meets with us! And Wendy, Zender, Nora, Zacky, Joshua, it was great meeting up with you too! |

| | Meeting Report - 10 May 07 : Peter, aka Loisl, was in town again and many of us happily signed up for the Glutton Bay Meet. Since I was meeting up with my running coach ( yes, Peter aka Loisl ) , I wore the Standard Charted Marathon Finisher's T-shirt. Bad mistake! It made me look like a glow worm in every picture that we took. Well, at least my coach knew that I completed the race.The meeting had a part deux. Wendy aka cheapskate, Jen aka Jenaikes, Peter and myself adjourned to Max Brenners'. Peter regaled with even wierder stories about some German women with an Egyptian fetish and snippets of the Swiss standard of living. We Singaporeans returned home later and swore that one day, we just might aspire to flip burgers and clean offices in Switzerland one day. They pay really well over there!
