The Raffles Hotel is classic architecture from the days of British colonisation. To stay at the Raffles is very expensive but its a must to go to the bar and have a Singapore Sling and to keep the glasses as a souvenir.

Eating out is one of the many pleasurable experiences of Singapore. from upbeat places like Hard Rock Cafe to local hawker cntres there is something for everyone. For anyone who loves to try different things Newton Food Circus is a must.

Locals

Singapore being a small island is great for taking a drive to see local people and the areas in which they live. When I was in Singapore last taxi fares were very cheap.

Polar Bear

There are plenty of great things to see at The Singapore Zoo. The layout is great, making viewing of the animals easy.

Jahore

Catching a train over the causeway from Singapore to Jahore was an interesting experience. Vastly different to the up-beat modern Singapore. Some bargains to be had at the local shopping centre.

Harbour

Singapore is an important hub in the Asian and world economies. The harbour is one of the busiest shipping areas in the world. At night the harbour looks like a city when all you can see are the ships lights.
