"US trips- 2006- Countdown of "visited states"" by Shihar

In continuation of last years resolution to visit all 50 states by the time I'm 32 years old, New Mexico and West Virgina has been added to the map!

We visited Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mt. National Park and had a great time, but did not have good Mexican food after several resturant attempts
Go figure!

In an effort to coordinate work travel with fun travel, we visited Guadalupe Mt. National Park and Carlsbad Caverns a few days before my work travel in Scottsdale,AZ. Since we were already in El Paso, we decided to cross the border to Juarez for the afternoon.

The OBX is a long drive for many N. Carolinians to make, but it is truly worth it! Orcacoke Island is a wonderful secluded little island that you need to take a ferry to get to. I can't imagine how the little island can support all the tourists in the peak season!

Great trip to Cali! Lake Tahoe was great fun and really exceded our expectations. Yosemite was as incredible and in full swing in spring. Spring is probably the best time to go to both locations.

For my B-day, we took a long week-end rafting trip to the New River. It was a great time with Extreme Expeditions outfitters.

2006 went out with a wimper for me! The second half of the year we were not able to travel alot at all. We were fortunate enough to get this last Charleston visit in before the end of the year.
