Favorites from the Road

Gateway Arch

St. Louis, Missouri

I love all of the pictures I was able to take of the arch. With the sun glinting off and the sky so blue that day I think I was really able to capture some of it's magnificence.

Chicago, Illinois

I like this picture because it reminds me of the strange feeling I got looking over the water. I couldn't pinpoint what was throwing me off. It occurred to me that I couldn't smell the salt in the air. It just looked so much like the ocean.

Lafayette Cemetery

New Orleans, Louisiana

I only had a couple days in New Orleans so I really wanted to check this cemetery out . I didn't actually get in because it had closed by 2 p.m. At least I managed to grab a couple of nice pictures.

A Babesball Sunset

Watching the sunset is always so relaxing, but it's so much more enjoyable when you add beer, bbq, and baseball.

The Arch Again

St. Louis, Missouri

It was incredibly hot (upper 90's I'd say) and when you stood against the arch and looked up you could see it sway. The combination of the two made me so dizzy I thought I'd pass out for sure. Thankfully there was air conditioning inside.

New Mexico/Colorado

Sure sunsets are always nice, but this picture serves to remind me of the crazy route I took on my way to Colorado. We got separated from our "convoy" and ended up 3 hours out heading into a state park with warning signs of impassable roads and snow drifts. Our phones were out of service, it was starting to get dark, and there was no turning back. I felt like a champion when we made it out and I snapped this shot.
Just glad we made it.

Cleveland, Ohio
