Dani

by jono84 - last update: Jan 27, 2006

...playing in the surf

We visited the beach in Nelson, and what a gorgeous day it was, if not a tad breezy. Dani was playing for ages in the waves, it was so funny to watch! She loves the sea, but doesnt normally live close to it, either in Wanganui, or back home in Nanjing. We played frisbee and went for a swim, but let me tell you the water was very VERY 'fresh'!!!!

...looking through the glass

I love this pic. It captures her amazing (and cheeky) smile!!! This was taken in the car on the way to Milford Sound, as we were all gazing up at the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Meanwhile, I was doing my Indiana Jones impersonation by leaning out of the sunroof to get a better shot of the snow-capped peaks. Yoiks!!

...sitting by the road

On our way back from Auckland to Wanganui on the coach, we made a food stop at an oddly - all though not for Nz! - deserted town near to Pipiriki. There was literally just one toilet, one convenience store and afew bungalows and that was it. A blink-and-youll-miss-it kind of place!! There really wasnt much to do so me+Dani stretched our legs, and then persisted to take yet more photos.

...always eating well (well, she is chinese!)

This is back in Wanganui, at the towns favourite restaurant (well, according to certain publications anyway...). Well we like it, and often we stick to our normal 'Seafood Bisque for two' order. Its lovely!! We recommend going there just for that dish alone!

...in her pyjamas

Its been really difficult to pick just eight pics to put in this album of Dani, simply because i just have so many great pics of her. I like this one cos she looks so cute in those pyjamas (hehehehe)... I am laughing now, but i know in my mind she will kill me for putting this photo on the net.... lol.

...by the river

This seems like a long time ago now, but after driving to Palmy one saturday, we decided to go on and see the Manawatu Gorge. This was an eventful day, capped off by finding a stray duckling wandering on a path close to the road. It was obviously only a day or so old, and it couldnt fly, so we took it home with us after initially searching for its mother. It was such a lovely duck!! ill introduce you to Plucky properly later on...

...taking a walk on a fine evening

This pic was taken just before xmas on a gorgeous summers evening in Wanganui. In the background is the town hall at one of the highest points in the city. In the foreground is my girl! Nuff said : )

...on the bridge

The Dublin Street to be precise. Wanganui seems to be blessed with gorgeous weather (touch wood), and this day was yet another fine example. And theres me taking another photo of Dani... i cant take enough pics of her!

We've been together for around five months now, and things are just great. I feel so happy to be with her, and to share the experience of living in Nz with her... Ive enjoyed every minute so far!

Thanks DanDan xxx
