Photos from a snowy night in Sweden

by Henrik_rrb - last update: Jan 25, 2006

25th of January 2006 1.45am

Got home from work, having almost chrashed my car in the snowy weather, at 1 am. It was snowing, and snowing and snowing, and even if I was tired I just had to get out and take some photos of the winter landscape! Probably looked quite crazy with a guy who ran around like crazy taking photos of the snow in the middle of the night...?

Enjoy, and think about me the next time you zip on your drink at the beach... ;)
The photo above is from our garden, which now was filled with a couple of decimeters snow.

This photo is also from the garden, all the bushes next against our neighbours house. Quite nice with the snow on. Would probably be even better in sunlight, but that I might be able to fix tomorrow.
Another photo... You have to admit that snow flake up in the corner is quite scary and big...? ;)
Last photo for tonight, otherwise both me and my camera would be too frozen... I'll come back tomorrow with daylight photos of the snow!

Daytime 2pm

Much warmer during the day, and the snow actually melted away a bit. Nice blue heaven though, and lots of snow everywhere.

Now, if show could have been warm, and the temperature in the air could have been around 25-30 degrees, then I would probably have liked snow a lot more... Cause it looks beautiful, but it's so freezing cold!
On the backside of our house it looks like if there could be a downhill race... So much snow!!
Although I guess we would have to cut down this tree then...
And finally the tree on the frontside, this time in daylight. Looks a bit different, huh? :)
To all of you who have written me comments about how fantastic it looks with the snow - thanks! But I still believe you would switch back to your old warm countries in five minutes if you had to live here... ;)

Henrik, the women had also a lot of fun together, but nevertheless... the dust, the 40C or even more.
