In london it's usually very grey, this photo was actually photoshopped a lot to make it look like it was nice day. However in the summer on the rare occasion when it is sunny, the city comes to life with people hanging out in the various parks, everyone spilling out of the pubs, you could actually believe you were in another country because people are quite friendly.

Just be careful of using the Tube in the summer as there's no airconditioning, and every now and again you get pressed up against someone who has no idea what personal hygiene means.

The River Thames runs right through london and divides london into north and south (or Saaaauf as they pronounce it down there). Most of the tourist attractions are on the north side of the River, but new developments such as the London Eye, and the Tate modern, are bringing people south of the river.

Get yourself to one of the bridges at night time and check out the view though, the lights of london and the other bridges reflecting off the water make the city even more beautiful.
