Welcome to the birdie room, a.k.a. Parrot Jungle. The cacaphony lives on in here....birds are gregarious, outspoken creatures who are high maintenance. They thrive on attention and interaction.
Remember this if you ever consider getting a feathered friend. |
| David contemplates a bite to the jugular... |
| |
Paco, our 17 year old Yellow Naped Amazon. She can be moody (typical Nape behavior) and inflict a painful bite. She also loves to whistle "La Cucaracha" and she enjoys surprising guests by letting out a diabolical, cackling laugh...which rumor has it to sound like me. Hmmmmm..... |
Jay, our 14 year old Double Yellow Head Amazon. Pictured here with my mother (whom she adores). | | | Hi Grandma....can I give you a kiss?! |
|
| Pssst.....what are you doing over there?! |
| |
Moi, with both Paco and Jay. They do like to keep their distance from one another. |
Magoo, showing off his ferocious side. Actually he's a very sweet, 15 year old Dusky Headed Conure. I just happened to catch him when he didn't want to be removed from the comfortable perch of a human shoulder...
| |
And then there's Blue, our 13 year old Blue Front Amazon. She (like the other three birds) loves to get spritzed with water. If I don't bathe them every few days, they take it upon themselves to take a dip in their water dishes.
So much for messy alternatives. |
Paco, in a rare contemplative moment....
| |
And Baci and Magoo, kissing.....kind of. |

Is the software to create it easy to use? BTW, did you notice the little man at the end of the palm frond at 0:39? |
