Mom, Dad & brother I come from a small family so we are very close. I am the naughty one, as my Dad said. So I "ran away" from home to the UK on a working hilidaymaker visa for two years. I am very eager to see them again when I go home. |
Uncle James & Aunty Martina Dad's family is also very small, with a younger brother and an elder sister.
We always celebrate family occasions with Dad's brother, uncle James and his wife, Martina and my cousins, Sharon & Deanna. Sharon's now married to Alan and Deanna (the tyounger one like me) is away from home, living in Melbourne. |
Dad's sis, Kim and family Though further away from Penang, the bunch from Kuala Krai make up our close extended family. |
Aunty Sim & Aunty Cha-the twins, with Uncle Eddie They are three of Dad's many cousins. Aunty Sim (Martha) and Uncle Eddie live nearby in Penang. In fact, my dearest relatives seem to live nearby except Aunty Kim and family. Aunty Cha (Mary) is living in Melbourne. Mom and I have visited her there and I would like to go back to Melbourne as it has changed a lot since my last visit.
A friend of mine once asked me at a party at my house if the people around talking to each other, being my relatives, were brothers and sisters as they seem to enjoy each other company very much. To his surprise, he said he hardly ever see in-laws shares so many laughs with each other. These people are really special to me. |
