Lily in the pot, at Aw Pottery, Machap, Johor.
Aw Pottery is famous for its clay pottery, and situated very near to the town of Ayer Hitam, Johor, the southernmost state of Peninsular Malaysia, just across the causeway from Singapore. |
| The Dizzy Toilet, Aw Pottery, Machap, Johor |
| | Amazing Toilet ! The multi-coloured toilet at Aw Pottery, Johor.
Probably the most remarkable sight you can ever imagine from a toilet ! |
? Taj Mahal ? A not so gigantic version of the Taj Mahal, at the Tropical Village, Ayer Hitam, JOHOR. | | | Mini World Theme Park, Ayer Hitam, Johor |
|
| Temenggor Lake, View from the Lembah Belum Resort |
| | Temenggor Lake, Perak Temenggor Lake was made to supply electricity to the northern region of West Malaysia ( Peninsula ).
Accessible through Grik, North Perak, or Jeli, Kelantan. There are some chalets from where you can explore the jungles, with a registered guide of course. You wouldn't want to get lost in the nasty jungles of Malaysia ! |
The Orang Asli Orang Aslis are the "Original ( indigenous ) Peoples" of Malaysia.
They are mostly simple animistic tribes who prefer the jungles to other forms of environment. So you hardly meet them in Malaysia, whatever the travel brochures might lead you to believe.
You really need to look hard for them, and even hunt for them. Once you've met them, you wonder who's having a better life ! | | | Thatched House With Satellite TV and Solar Panels |
|
| Chinese Methodist Church, Ayer Tawar, Perak |
| | Beautiful Churches Too Even beautiful churches are found in smaller towns across the country, Protestant predominates and Catholic churches are not scarce either.
They should be as interesting as the Buddhist temples and Muslims mosques that are even more ubiquitous ! |
Big Schools Too ! This big school building is in Tangkak, Johor. A primary school, it has impressive buildings and an even more impressive hall ! The Chinese community had donated generously to this building - a Chinese Primary School, offering six years of schooling, before they go on to Malay or English Secondary Schools. | | | Chinese Primary School, Tangkak, JOHOR |
|
| Oh Dear ! What Happened To My Boy !!!!?? |
| | Crazy Things You See Honey I've shrunk the kid !
NO ! Don't worry, this is just a gigantic trishaw, at the border of Melaka and Johor, near to MUAR, Johor. |
