|  | Salisbury Crags Near Holyrood Palace are the Salisbury Crags, the remains of glaciated rocks. The highest points of the crags is Arthur's Seat, an extinct volcano. The trail up the crags is very steep and rocky, and not for those who tire easily. However, it provides excellent views of Edinburgh's skyline. |
