Hardangervidda Nasjonalpark Travel Guide: 20 reviews and 48 photos
The beautifull mountain Hallingskarvet
Pictures were taken Desember 27, crossing the Hardangervidda on my way home after christmas at Geilo
The picture is taken at about 1pm, and the sun is at it's highest!
Another picture stop
The poles are for the snoplow to find the road in much snow. Sometimes the snow on the side can be a wall 4-5 meters high. So far this year there has been little snow on the Hardangervidda

great tip on camping
Thanx for your message. Love your snow pictures. We are having snow and lots of rain here. But not in Auckland. We had a mini VT meeting at Devonport for my birthday but NO ferry ride !
Don't you use snowchains?
Like you guys, we havn't had much snow either...just bloody cold LOL!!
how i love the true North! and your Hardangervidda page! oh... yep, Pessoa, the writer. Don't know him much but he fascinates me.
Oh my gosh! Fantastic photos David! I'm gonna get snow tyres next year and see where they take me!! ;-))
Wonderfu, exellent, out of this world, beautiful, great pages!!!
Oh wow, this is entirely another world!!
I got lost and nearly died here, looking for long-tailed skuas. I saw my first dotterels here though and then i saw them again where they go in winter: Bahrain.
The Hadangervidda is a magical place to wander. The DNT huts are a great way to wander the countryside. The road is a great way to introduce yourself to the wonders up here, as you rightly point out!
