Where I am planning on visiting Travels in 2006 began in January when I flew to Valencia with my two sisters. The younger of the two was 40 while we were away and a surprise trip for her birthday was planned. Check out my Valencia to see what we saw in this great Spanish city.
Next was a long weekend with a good friend of mine to her house in Bergerac situated in the Aquitaine region of France. It was bitterly cold and there was so much snow that we were unable to leave the house for two days. Hence a lot of wine was consumed. The weather being bad and I was so unwell that we returned at the end of March for another weekend and this time it was heaps better.
In April we went to Corbie in France. We just love this place!! The bed and breakfast place we have found is amazing and oh so romantic. The two guys that own it sure know how to treat guests. No expense spared.
Thanks to Andrew Lucas Chris and I attended the Marbella meeting in May. I am so grateful to him for being so pushy!
Ok so it's like this... The Telegraph are doing a two for one offer on the Eurostar and we just happened to be free June 11th and 12th so off we went to Paris for the weekend. Living close to Ashford and to the Ferry Port of Dover enables us to do trips like this easily.
End of June and back to Bergerac for a whole week of relaxation and good food and wine. I just love this place. In August we spent a lovely weekend in London with friends chilling out around Greenwich and Spitalfields area of the city.
Beginning of September and I really have to go to the VT meetings in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Thanks goodness for low cost airlines is all I can say
Mid September and we are off on our travels again. We will be flying to Lisbon - Portugal and driving to Oporto and down the coast back to Lisbon. Totally relaxing as we will stop of when we feel like it. Let’s hope the weather will still be kind to us.
Oh... I have booked another trip! Dublin for two nights in October. I HAD TOO..the flights were oh so cheap!
So far I am free in November…..
5 days in Krakow with a good friend has now been booked. Followed by a weekend in Karlsruhe Baden to attend a VT meeting and hopefully make it to a Christmas market.
Well that’s it folks. That’s me and my purse spent out!!! |

Lismore was delightful, one of the prettiest castles we saw in Ireland! Settling back into life post vacation? I have almost a whole month to wait until my next one! |
