Travel Tips

This motely crew came together for a tour of Provence with Overseas Adventure Travel. Many have kept in touch with each other - sadly we lost Leonora to cancer.

Beverly - lover of fine red wine, wicked sense of humor and gnarly Boston accent.

We met on Grand Circle's Alpine Village Sampler tour and have traveled together many times since.

Arlene and I have worked together for 16 years - she is great fun and a real sport. Her favorite activities are tennis and beer. Don is Arlene's other half and is a real crack up. Loves to dance and sing with the ladies.

Sue and I met in college, have traveled around together a lot, and just plain had a lot of fun
Sharon is an old family friend of Sue's and joined us for a trip to Brugge and the Cotswolds

Pat hails from San Diego and was my accidental roommate for my trip to Malta. Nancy, who also went, throught I needed a roommate (didn't know that I had signed up for a single). Nancy told this to Coleen (Pat's daughter) who told Pat who called up Grand Circle and signed up to be my roomie. I found out a couple weeks before we left - that is why she was my accidental roommate. Everyone should be blessed with such a wonderful roomie.

Malta

I have worked with Nancy on-and-off for years. This is a great picture of these two clowns who thoroughly enjoyed the free booze in the 12th floor lounge of our hotel in Malta.

Leonora and I met in a weird way - a friend of my husbands was over at the house, saw my Overseas Adventure Travel Ireland tour catalog and said she had a friend going to Ireland and thought it was the same company. Well Leonora and I called each other, found that it was the same tour company, decided we could get along fine, and changed our travel dates to go together. We had a great time - she was a wonderful, fun and very artistic roomie. She always collected heart shaped rocks so I now always look for heart shaped rocks in memory of her.

Sadly we lost Leonora to cancer two years ago.

Mary joined Bev and me in both Portugal and Iceland. Mary is the person who occasioned my warning tip on how narrow the beds get in Iceland. Luckily she did not hurt herself and a good Icelandic beer took care of the aches.
