I've never been particularly interested in soft toys or teddy bears for that matter. However, everything changed one lovely spring day in St Wolfgang, Austria when I first laid my eyes on this adorable baby bear. Call me silly, call me childish but I'm smitten. Hey, even CNN's Richard Quest brings a teddy bear as home comfort to aid sleep in strange places.
Since that day, it is my companion wherever I go, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. It helps me adjust after being away from home & family. It brings me comfort when I'm in an unfamiliar place. It's my traveling teddy.
Update : Teddy is on the verge of retiring from traveling. After clocking over 250,000km around the world, he's feeling all squashed out & lost 1/3 of his size. Do you think he should retire? |

Winter in Amsterdam Teddy sat on the windowsill looking out into the canals. It was sort of a bittersweet trip because although Amsterdam was lots of fun, the weather was sort of a letdown. Boo hoo! |

The Day I Got Teddy After I had Teddy, we had a nice celebration at a nice hotel in Salzburg. He's so cute & shiny on our first day together. Now he's all squished and dusty. Poor Teddy! |
