While volunteering at the local school in lived in this small rural community. I stayed with a family who took me in as one of their own. I also became good friends with many others in the village, including the owners of the local store and the president of the community (who was my neighbour). Of course, through volunteering at the local school, I got to know most of the kids living in the village (a few kids go to school a bit further away, simply because they can afford it). The living conditions where somewhat simple, but the hospitality of the people more than made up for it. While living in the community, I attented family reunions, batisms, and local soccer tournament. I was even named the "queen" of the local soccer team!

All in all, I had a great time living in this community and I made some friends for life. I plan on going back to visit my friends here in the near future.
