We Americans can not go to Cuba but fortunately there are restarants like Cafe LaGuardia that bring Cuba to us. This place is awesome. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the extremely comfy coaches as you walk in and most off all, because Kristi (dabs), Dee (Deecat) and Sally (shrimp56) and Sally's husband (who took this picture) were there. This took place last summer. |
| | At Cafe Iberico Last summer 2005 at Cafe Iberico--a Spanish Tapas place on LaSalle downtown Chicago. Tanya (kipish) organized this even which was attented by Kristi (Dabs) and her friend, Peter (Peter26.2), Dave (dlandt), Jane (ljbs), Mely (travelwithmeley), and Nick (grkboiler). An incredible experience first because of all of the people that attentded and second because the bill came to about only $85. |
| | Al la Turka This meeting at the popular Lincolm Park Turkish restarant took place Easter of 2004. An ironic time to have it because it was Kristi (Dabs) that ressurected my unsucessful plans to have it earlier in March. Also with Kristi (Dabs) was her husband Dave, Erik (Erik707), Mely (travelwithmely) and Mely's mother and of course Dee (Deecat). |
| | Dim Sum at Phoenix Chet (yooperprof) was in town a couple months ago and had this VT Meeting at Phoenix in Chinatown. Also in attendance Kristi (Dabs) and her husband Dave, Sam (sambarnett) and Chet's friends Eric and Shannon. This what my first time Dim Summing but not my last. |
| At the Piazza del'Reppublica |
| | My first International VT Meeting in Rome This past October in Rome with (from left to right) Roberto (ARoman), Barbara (BarbaraForza), Sara (Sarita76) and Sara's boyfriend Maro. A big THANKS to Roberto for buying us all coffee and cakes and afterwards I expericed what life is like for a local shopping away from the tourists at some lcoal book/CD stores. |
