old Since joining VT I now notice buildings more than I used to. Cardiff has a few that have caught my attention. On my first visit to town, I noticed the grandeur of the Great western Hotel building. It is a solid stone building with a certain grandeur. |

and new This rather bulky building was built for the Millenium, I think. To me it is rather squat but has a long metallic tube with flowing water outside, which catches the sun, and is quite interesting. The walls of the building are covered with large words that light up at night. It was built as an arts centre, theatre etc. |
Cardiff is proud of its new sports stadium. It dominates the skyline with the huge white painted metal struts. Coming back from Barry and looking across the Bay,you get a good view, and on this day the sun picked it out as if to highlight it. |
