NYC was hot, humid and horrible. Lesson learned. Next time will be during winter to see the displays. My sister and I went to the Met partly because we knew it was air conditioned. This is part of the Egyptian display that we happened to stumble upon.

Although my Africa trip wasn't the best, I learned my lessons and would go back anyday, just better prepared.
The picture shown is the balcony of a slave holding building. It has beautiful color and a wonderful view of the ocean. Too bad they had to curse it with history.

My friend invited me down to escape cold weather for a weekend. I met his parents and their small grizzlies. The picture is showing how the trees are still uprooted from Hurricane Katrina. They're being held up with sticks.

Chicago is better than NYC or Vegas anyday. It's a homey, midwestern place with great shopping, transportation and lots to do. I heart Chicago!!

Echo Canyon Mountain

Phoenix was boring but the hike up Echo Canyon with my dad made the trip worthwhile. I realized how out of shape I am and got to bond with Pops too. Wouldn't go back, unless my dad wanted me to for more rock-climbing, which I'll be ready for this go-round!

La Jolla

No matter how many corrections I do-my mom will always pronounce it as La Jolly and that's after she's been there. La Jolla was great. I realize now I'm a California girl!
