You come across all kinds of interesting stuff in the desert:
Camel skulls, surprisingly beautiful flowers, animal tracks in the sand... and the occasional car-part that some unfortunate soul has lost off his Landcruiser :-)
The sun rose at around 4.45am.
The shade you see in the forefront is the shadow of the nearby mountain, enabling us to sleep an extra 1/2 hour before our tents heated-up in the sun.
The silence of the desert can truly be deafening: when there's no wind, no movement, you can hear the blood rushing in your ears.
I woke Johnno up searching for my camera in the tent, but I think this picture was worth it!
