Notre Dame's famous flying buttresses

It is well known that Notre Dame aften asked, "Do these flying buttresses make my butt look big. Well hon!! your butt makes the flying buttresses look big.
St. Germain l'Auxerrois

ST. Germain l'Auxerrois

Situated just behind the Louvre, this was the church of choise by the French nobles. I was told it had a secret passage way to and from the Louvre, but I have been told many things. This was pretty much completed by the 16th century and it turns out my 9th great grandmother was babtized here. There was some kind of church here in the IX century by the Normands.

Notre Dame - The Big Momma of them All

I don't know what it was this time. Possibly the actual connection at St. Germain l'Auxerrois, or maybe I was picking up my mother's karma, but this time there was a spiritual sense. Notre Dame wasn't just the amazingly cool building with the carvings, statures, stained glass, flying buttresses. There was a life to it. And then I found a life to all of them. I felt them breathing, telling me their stories. It was obvious they wanted me. So I negotiated and the compromise was that I would take lots of pictures of them and put them here on VT.
Notre Dame, late afternoon in September

La Sacre Coeur

Pretty chuch, great view, I tried to rent an apartment but ....

Church

On rue Abessess
e'eglise St. Eustache

St. Eustache by Less Halles

Close up this chuch does look like much, but from rue Rivoli, it is very strking.

St. Sulpice

Belltower at St Suplice
Madeleine

l'englise Madeleine

Massive rectangular building with huge columns. The picture does not do it justice as you need to get farther away to appreciate the Greek-like design. They have incredible music programs here. Metor at Place Madeleine

I need to do the exact route from CDG to Les Chatelet with my 74 year old mother with knee problems. Could you tell me how many flights of stairs there are from buying the ticket to the actual B- line RER train stop at CDG?

A gem of a page, amusing reading and with an eye for off the beaten path detail. I stayed in the same area (hotel) and thus also ate (excellently) at Le Chien qui Fume. As for Beef Wellington, my suggestion would be Napoleon "Bone Aparte" hotpot.
