Here are some views of a lazy day cruising the Rhine from St Goar to Rhudesheim. |
Just across from St Goar is the Loreley Rock - the landmark of the middle Rhine region. |
Many towers and castles are passed |
Near Kaub is the PFALZGRAFENSTEIN CASTLE in the middle of the Rhine! This castle served for many centuries as a customs house (since 1247). |
Here we are floating past Bacharach - well worth a visit. |
We're nearly at Rudesheim - up on the hill you can seen vineyards and the monument at Niederwald which can be reached by taking the chairlift. 33 miles of hiking trails through the forest here. |
