This mountain domain over Bassano Del Grappa and Veneto region.
In july 1944 Nazi-fascists fight against partisans with a tragic mopping up where they use 20000 soldiers against 1500 partisans. In the honour of the partisans there is the statue of the Partisan.
This was the last Italian defence in 1st world war, here we have buried 12615 italiansoldiers, 10332 unknown at the centre and at the north 10295 austro-hungarian soldiers, 10000 unkonwn. |
