Here is our Town Hall, located right in the center of the town. It used to be used for actual town business, but since the newer Town Building was constructed, the Hall has become pretty much a figurehead, good only for the occasional meeting or social event.

Anyone really interested in Stow can even check out our town website:

The real town business is now done here, at the Town Building. Stow doesn't have a mayor--the actual executive work is done by a committee of elected Selectmen, while each particular department is run by its own committee.
In Stow, lush plant life and quaint wooden houses abound.
Center School

I went to 4th and 5th grade here. This is also where the people of Stow come to vote.
Although few farmers remain in Stow, the remnants of many old farms are still around. Some old barns have been converted into homes, while others sit away from the road, serving little purpose except looking lovely.
One of my favorite thing about central Massachusetts is the abundance of old stone walls everywhere. When settlers first starting farming New England, they found that the soil was very rocky. Large rocks had to be removed before the fields were sowed, and the larger rocks were used to mark out property lines. Today, old stone walls appear everywhere, and who originally built them has been long forgotten.
This is my favorite stretch of Randall Road, where the trees have grown to form a charming archway.
Stow is home to many varieties of birds!

Great tips! I love Stow and the surrounding area, it relaxes me. To think, not many miles away is the insanity of Boston. *sigh* There wouldn't happen to be affordable housing in Stow??
