Blue skies... | Could this be England????? |
This summer I decided to drag Michael and Philip out of their pits to keep me company on local walks. Nothing strenuous, mind, mostly on the flat. This was in the sand-dunes near Sandscale Hawes on a lovely August day. What a sky. |
| | Boys Will Be Boys!!!!!! Sliding down the pristine sand-dunes. Oh, to be young and care-free!!! There's me saying, "There might be broken glass." Don't be such a spoilsport, mum. |
| | "Do I have to come?" A rare picture of Philip posing. He wasn't very thrilled about being dragged out for walks. A waste of time, he thought, but he did enjoy the sand-dunes. |
| | Without Philip On this walk, Philip got away with not coming. Michael and I climbed the Hoad Monument in Ulverston. As you can see, the weather was not so good. We shelterd from the howling gale in the monument's doorway to have our coffee. Very exposed to the elements here but terrific views. |
| | Along Rusland Pool Michael and I followed Rusland Pool one day. A flat walk, mainly. This is the typically English countryside view I took. I just love the stripey fields when the grass has been cut. Soooo Engligh. Like a Briton's farm scene. |
