Junior Dig

Digging for Fossils

Hard at Work

The boys were given a variety of tools to help uncover their fossils - they worked very diligently.
I think I found something

Hard at Play

An added bonus was "playing in the dirt" with no shoes or socks!
Look what I found!

The End Result

It took me a while, but when I finally found a fossil I made short work of it. I was so excited that I found a Short-Faced Bear skull!
Success!

My Accomplishment

After 30 minutes of working, I was successful. I found a Columbian Mammoth tibia and I'm so proud of myself!

Thanks Caryn, we had a fantastic time in the Black Hills and the kids loved it. We did 3 days in Deadwood and 4 days at the Palmer Gulch KOA.
