Authentic Suzhou-style Garden

Garden Entrance
The garden is a tribute to citizens of both countries who created it.Materials arrived from Suzhou, China in Nov. 1999 and construction began on land donated by the city of Portland.. It took 10 months to assemble this authentic Ming Dynasty Garden.

The 8,000 sq. ft. of Zither Lake provides a unifying center for all the gardens elements.

Ah, the great city of Portland, known to me for its enthusiasm for planted roofs. I will check out your tips with interest :-)

Hi I took your suggestion and looked at your Oregon page. How nice there is a used bookstore at the airport!!! Oregon looks great, I have driven up the coast to Canada but that was many years ago. Kat
