She was in there taking her sweet time...... technically this is a first shot of her, since I was a moron and didn't allow cameras in the birthing room 2 weeks later. =-( DOH

She totally, really freaking hates Winne the Pooh now; and well it's kind of understandable I guess. Emmy looks at this picture now and says, "wow mommy! you had boobs! what happened?"... Indeed...

We go every year to this farm in Walton... "you pick yer own" punkins, eat a bunch of pie & apple cider... get lost in the corn maze... get bit by bugs & other farm animals, step in the cow patties if ya aren't careful! Here's Emmy with a cupcake mostly smashed on her face.

It was pretty exciting to be on the front page! Here's Em and I dancing at the annual Oktoberfest in Mainstrasse, Covington KY (not to be confused with the bigger Oktoberfest Zinzinnati... this one's smaller & more fun).

You know, you wake up and go look at your soundly sleeping kid... and kind of marvel at the fact that she is actually 1) being quiet, 2) lying still, and 3) has not woke YOU up yet by putting the cat on your head?

We have lots of old trees in our yard, so we had a gazillion of these red-eyed monsters flying around. The Cicadas acted sorta drunk, flying really sloppy, running into things (like, your forehead) and "letting" children put them into water-filled tupperware bowls ("Cicada hot tubs" as we called them). Here's Em holding one of the freaky bugs... just before the buggy found it's mate, hooked up & died. 16 more years to go til the next brood...

Emmy with her favorite cat on earth, little miss Dusty. Em was totally heartbroken when Dusty died in November '08, and cried just about as much as I did over our little 'Moppy'. Em's got the 'cat lady' genes in her, methinks.
