This is a photo of Odeonsplatz in December 2003. I remember feeling very down that day because of the cold, the empty streets, and all the stores that were closed for the Christmas holiday.

However, part of me enjoyed having the whole city practically to ourselves, and acting silly because, well, there was no one around.

My mood was very different in May, with the weather so beautiful. I'd spent the morning shopping, sightseeing, and I stopped to admire Odeonsplatz on my way to the Hofgarten. Funny how a little warmth changes your perspective...
