This is an ariel photo of my shop, CORA'S is it's name and it is in the middle of this parade of shops. I sell cigaretts, alcohol, chocolate, newspapers and lots of porn. How good is that?

Here is a picture of the amount of porn mags I stock.
Some people think I should be ashamed but I am proud I built this business from nothing.
My sister says it's only for perverts I said who is worse the one who buys it or the one who sells it? she doesn't speak to me now (no loss)

I took over Cora's in March 2003 in August 2003 we had a storm. Tornados touched down and it was as black as midnight. The sewers couldn't cope with the rain and in less than two minutes I was up to my waist in black cold stinking sewage. A large part of my stock had floated off anything left had to be disposed of.
The photo shows the water after the storm it had gone down a lot by the time the photo was taken I had allready gone into shock by this time.
The car I am standing behind floated to that position it had been under the cut to size sign.
I am in the gray t-shirt with my back to the camera.
Probably the worst day of my life and I still opened the next morning at six am.

This is me in the doorway, Chris Fisher with the brush (or Lurcio as I sometimes call him) and Luke both helped me clean up after the water had drained away and left the sewage behind both helped me keep it togeather because I almost lost the plot.
You can see by my tee shirt the water had been above my waist.
I thought 25 years hard work had been washed away in sewage but I am still there it just made life a bit harder for a while.
This photo was in our local paper the Hartlepool mail.
The car in the photo was mine it was the only car that started the water shot out the back but we couldn't get rid of the smell.

On Monday 8 may 06 I put out this new doormat. Within half an hour I was told it wasn't politically correct and I was going to offend people.
If you live outside the UK and you are offended by this, I am sorry but it is my doorstep not yours so I do think what's your problem?
If you live in the UK and you are offended again I am sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone but you can live in another country sadly it will have a flag too. So get a grip.
Great Britain no longer rules the World but we do still have the prettiest flag in the World

I found this photo on the web and I hadn't seen it befor so I saved it I think this might be the 1900 flood but I cant be sure as I wasn't around.
I just took a closer look it must be the 1900 flood my shop was old by then (it is the last one with the horses outside) the newer shops got added on around 1900 and you can see buildings but no neighbour for my shop.

Here is one corner of my shop but I put the decorations up all around the shop my Mum once did it this way almost 30 years ago and didn't realise what she had done so it is a running joke in the shop.
Unfortunatly not everyone gets the joke but most people have a good laugh it is only ment as a laugh it is Christmas and I think if you can give someone something to to bring a smile to there face it can't be bad.
