THIS SHOP WAS ON MATTHEW
STREET NOT FAR FROM THE CAVERN...
A BEATLES TRIBUTE BAND IN THE CAVERN

Just like yesterdays

I have a pic of the Beatles playing in the Cavern in 1963 and here this pic is a Beatles band playing in the Cavern last year and both photos have the same background.

There is a Barber

This is great to venture the streets where the boys{Beatles} hung out. There is a map called John Lennon's Liverpool that is great in telling all the places that were important to him. McCartney and John Lennon grew up in the area and they spent a lot of time playing on Penny Lane junction as children. The street is an important landmark, sought out by most Beatles fans touring Liverpool. In the past, street signs saying "Penny Lane" were constant targets of tourist theft and had to be continually replaced. Eventually, city officials gave up and simply began painting the street name on the sides of buildings. This is still the case at the Smithdown Road junction, but there is a conventional sign at the other end of the street.

The barber shop mentioned in the song was probably a shop owned by a Mr. Bioletti, who has claimed to have cut hair for Lennon, McCartney and George Harrison when they were children. The fire station in the song is where Allerton Road becomes Mather Avenue ("It's a clean machine"). The station is very close to the
site of Quarry Bank School which Lennon attended. Mather Avenue leads to Forthlin Road, home of McCartney.

Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields but Forever

They plan to close the orphanage sometime. It was a place the John would go and play as a child along with the kids that lived there. Basically, he too was an orphan. He could relate to them. John Lennon spent much of his youth playing in the orphanage’s grounds in the Woolton district of Liverpool close to the suburban home that he shared with his Aunt Mimi. Its name became the inspiration, and later a part of the band’s iconography; the song was released as a double A-side with Penny Lane in February 1967

George's Place

I felt I was going to see George answer the door...... No.12 Arnold Grove was built in the 1890s as a two-up, two-down terraced house, just off Wavertree High Street.
It was (and is) very small
, yet Harold and Louise lived there with their four children until George was about six years old.
The rent, they recalled, was ten shillings a week.

THE CAVERN

Rebuilt in the same location as the original Cavern with the original bricks.
This is where Brian Epstein first heard the boys play.

The Magical Mystery Bus

This is the third exact replica of the original one of 1967. If you go to Liverpool ,please ride this . It is valuable memories and music
Magical Mystery Bus
grave sight of Eleanor Rigby

St Peters graveyard is where the real Eleanor Rigb

I didn't get to stop and see the tombstone. I don't know why the Magical Bus dldn't stop there. Maybe time ???
Coincidentally, in the 1980s, a grave of an Eleanor Rigby was discovered in the graveyard of St. Peter's Parish Church in Woolton, Liverpool, a few feet from where McCartney and Lennon had met for the first time during a fete in 1957. Paul had frequently played there as a boy. The actual Eleanor was born in 1895 and lived in Liverpool, possibly in the suburb of Woolton, where she married a man named Thomas Woods. She died in her sleep of unknown reasons on October 10, 1939, at age 44, and was buried in St. Peter's churchyard in Woolton. Coincidentally, she died 365 days before John Lennon was born; 1940, JOHN LENNON WAS BORN OCTOBER 9TH 1940
