This is a typical kampung Malay house. These days more prefer to stay in brick / stone modern looking houses.

Better take a good look, they may not be around much longer .....................

The typical scene of the less travelled roads around Ayer Tawar. This one is leading to Kg Sg Wangi, Ayer Tawar from Kg Baru ( Lumut ).

This may be Kg Baru, Lumut, but that was in the days of the sampan and the motor-boat.

Today you drive there, and it's more of Kg Baru, A Tawar. But you can still take your own ( or chartered ) boat from Lumut. Quite a lot of Kg Baru's to confuse you !

This photo shows the jetty at Kg Baru, and you can see the bridge in the back, even Lumut, in the distance. Even a telescope won't help you see Lumut - this is a hazy morning.
