Garden cats

Nocturnal Garden Cat
Here you can see one of the boyfriends of my Garden Cat Strudel practising special nocturnal tree activities.
There was one very special activity going on in the tree, but I didn't have a camera at that moment! This picture is taken after. I must tell you that it was quite unique to see it happening on not so thick tree branches and rather high too!

Garden cat (Felix Gardenius) is a new species that is a combination of a street cat and a house cat.

"Seitdem ich die Menschen kenne liebe ich die Tiere."

National Geographic animals
Dogue de Bordeaux and English Bulldog

Ladies next door

These two ladies live next door to me and I get to hug them on regular basis.
Gromphadorhina portentosa

Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches

Two of my Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches -Gromphadorhina portentosa-

I met cousins of my cockroaches at Helsinki zoo.

My adoptive daughter

This is my adoptive daughter, Amy. She is a mountain gorilla and lives in Rwanda,
Central Africa. I think it is wonderful to have family all around the world, from Finland to Africa! To find out how you can adopt a gorilla too and help save the gorillas - there are less than 650 mountain gorillas left in the world - see:

Turtoise

Visitors

Occasional turtoises like to pass in my garden and some make a longer stop. Two of them who keep coming back have names; Bruno and Fred
Hyrax

Hyrax

Some hyrax families live on the rocks behind my house and can be seen daily from my back garden.

Giant grasshopper

Saga ephippigera - a giant grasshopper paid a visit for few days in May.
Chameleon

Chameleons

Chameleons like my garden alot. But it is hard to spot them as they change their color according to the background and they are sit-and-wait predators who can sit hours without moving like this one in the yasmin bush at night.

While I am making a fantastic tea (Rooibos Orange Caramel) I imagine that you are coming to taste it and I can wish you a Happy-happy Birthday (or many happy returns of the day) - Eva
