Gozo - the second largest island after Malta!

This is an aerial view of Mgarr Port in Gozo. As you can see the place is very rural and green. Even though recently Gozo is being attacked by many building contractors and business men who just think about making money and do not think about protecting Malta and Gozo's natural surroundings.

The small little island with the little inlets is Comino. As you can see the water is crystal clear blue around these inlets. However at times it is very hard to get to these inlets and even if you one has a boat the rocks are so pointed and spikey that it is hard to tie the boat and get down ! So be careful ! Some places at least will remain untouched and there just to see !

Ramla il-Hamra beach

This is Ramla l-Hamra beach. This beach is very large and the the sand is very red. Infact Ramla l-Hamra translated in English means 'Red Sand'. In rough weather the waves here can get very rough and cause many under currents so be careful when you are swimming here.

The contrast of the red sand with the crystal blue and deep blue is so magnificant !

Aerial View of Fields from aeroplane

If you visit Gozo one can see that there is more greenary than there is left in Malta. If you look from far away one can see shades of greens, browns and a mixture of both - these are the fields. This is very picturesque and if you like painting especially usuing water colours (like I do) or oils I suggest that you get with you your water colours and drawing paper as Malta and Gozo are rich in colour and scenaries. If you are into photography well and good - you will have loads of photos to take :-)
