A Japanese garden in downtown Kelowna.

by dabidc - last update: Jun 5, 2005

The Japanese say it with Trees.

Kasugai Gardens
The North Americans and Europeans say it with flowers and flowering shrubs.

Almost hidden behind City Hall in Downtown Kelowna is a compact but very clourful area devoted to A Japanese Garden, where the impact is from fine delicate trees in many colours.

The garden is a welcome place of peace and quiet on a hot day, there is some shade and there is no charge.
Pathways among the trees.

Beauty and Colour.

There were about 15 people in the garden when we were there, it was a challenge to take photos without the people.
Yellows and greens.

More colour as you wander around.

A Blue sky day.

A different scene each turn of the path

Oops, a flower .

An odd arrangement of petals.

Bridge over the pond.

The pond complete with Koi .

Bridge over the Koi.
Stream and small trees

A miniature world.

Reds and Greens by the path

A final view of the Kasugai gardens.

Cith Hall is on Water Street between Doyle and Queensway Streets.

The Japanese gardens are behind City Hall.

David, your Kelowna page was a joy to read and view. Too bad about that dreadful fire in 2003; thank goodness it is slowly returning. Orchard Golf Club restaurant sounds and looks splendid. Love all the flowers.
