Elaine (Oma14) was visiting Ireland, touring round as she is a bit of a nomad (sorry Elaine only kidding), no she is more of a leprechaun - lol, well what I mean to say is she absolutely adores Ireland. She asked me a couple of years ago to go over to Ireland and meet her when she was on holiday then but I didnt manage it. This time however I went and am so glad I did.
Here I am with Elaine in a bar (well what else is there to do in Ireland but drink) :-)
Elaine met me at the airport and then we picked up the hire car she was renting and went back to the B&B where she and her friend were staying and where I would be staying just the one night. |
That evening Orla a vt member from Dublin who Elaine and her friend Gloria had met before on their visits to Ireland came and took us into Malahide where we had a lovely time having a drink and a meal and chatting.

I had a wonderful time in Ireland meeting Elaine, Gloria and Orla and hopefully one day we will meet again.
It seems strange that only 3 days before going to Ireland and meeting Elaine, I had the pleasure of meeting vt member Marty (Birchy99) and his wife Joanne who visited my home for a few hours before they journeyed onto Derbyshire.
