We hiked up to see the Lepenjica waterfall, it wasn't too demanding even for small kids and one poodle (the poodle was acting like a shepherd dog, herding us all together LOL!)
Someone was worried we might end up suffering from dehydration, so he carried a 3 liter container full of red wine all the way up.
All adults "had to" have a glass of it once we reached the end of the trail.
I couldn't finish it - I felt I wouldn't be able to walk back down, across all those rocks and tree trunks.
But it would be a sin to waste such great wine, so I carried it carefully all the way down, haven't spilled a single drop! and I finished it while we sat in front of the mountain hut.

We were there in April, so it wasn't hot enough to get sweaty and need a shower. But if you come here during summer, don't you worry! You can have a shower here in the garden behind the mountain hut of dr. Klement Jug.

The sophisticated wooden device standing in front of the shower is designed to hold your clothes, make sure you choose the appropriate extensions for each piece of your clothing.
Or hang them clockwise as you take them off.

Our friends bought one old ruined mountain cottage and some land in Lepena, and restored it into a lovely cozy weekend home, even though they had to respect the local architectural and building traditions.

It looks small from the outside, but I was amazed how spacious it is inside - the whole ground floor area is one space, with large fireplace, kitchen, bathroom and a sauna! Upstairs they have a large room plus two bedrooms, so cute.

During one phase of renovation, the house had already new structural wooden beams, but the walls were not completely closed, so a couple of birds have built a nest inside, in the center of the living-room.

The bird family left when their little ones started to fly, but our friends decided to keep this nest as a lovely symbol for their large family.

They have 5 kids, born within 7 years, all wonderful and healthy.

too much food!
We had a BBQ feast here on Saturday afternoon before going to Pristava resort and again on Sunday, so in order to burn all those calories we grabbed some gardening tools and started landscaping.
