OK, this isn't "our house" anymore, but it was our duplex when we first moved to Ottawa. We were in the top half. And the car on the right is our old Toyota Tercel, that took me around BC for several years, brought us across the country, took us around Eastern Canada for several years, and then returned "home" to BC, where it now rests in peace. |
This was our first Christmas away from either of our families and on our own. We had a Christmas tree. |

One of the hobbies I've picked up since moving to Ottawa (though, it was really probably only a matter of time, wherever I was) is quilting. Here's a quilt my grandmother made. I took this picture in September 1989, since that was the year I signed up for an introductory quilt course. |
And then in April 1991 we bought our own house. OK, we shared it with the bank for a while, but the idea was for it to become ours. |
And then in December 2005 we bought our new house. It's bigger than our old house, so we should be OK, as least for awhile! |
