This is not narrow, and the building is not wooden! That is due to the fact that this used to be Kragerø Railway Station. The local railway line between Neslandsvatn and Kragerø was abandoned 31.12.1988. But the station building is still there, nowadays used as a tourist information center and a bus station.
More about this in my railway travelogue. |
| | City Square A place to relax after strolling along the narrow streets of the inner city, with a bank, a pharmacy, a couple of resraurants / cafes and some shops. |
View from the square Nort-west corner of the square, with a view of one of the broader streets.
| | Narrow street |
Another narrow street | | |
| | A very narrow street |
Fire hydrant Most needed in this city of wooden buildings. To the right you can see one of the few non-wooden ones.
| | Cars! Ooops, they allow cars to drive through these narrow street. Be careful when walking, there are no sidewalks. |

Trekki Mon Nov 28, 2005 06:07 UTC Cute, indeed :-) Oh I love it that so many houses are painted so colorful. And the police station and the jail - hihi, really cozy :-) | cassiejoy42 Mon Nov 21, 2005 22:15 UTC Rusket - Kragero seems very nice - like a small fishing village - is it far from where you live?
