It started at Kuala Lumpur International Airport !
I had to reach the airport at 10 pm because my flight was at 7.30 the following morning...Nobody could send me to the airport. |
|  | Feeling kinda bored at the airport.
Went out a few times, puffing away & snapped this pic...showing part of the airport. |
| | I actually planned to sleep at the airport. No, not at a hotel or something like that but rather on the bench somewhere...
Little that I knew that there were thousands other people/passengers who were also 'sleeping' at the airport as flights to destinations around the world also departed the following morning !
All the good benches were taken even by 'Mat Sallehs' (the 'white people' as we call them here in Malaysia...).
Not to mention many Indonesians who were forgiven for staying/working illegally in Malaysia, thought they also went back to see their families for good.
Why they chose on the same night that I 'sleep' at the airport, I really didn't know...
Feeling hungry, bought KFC takeaway...as you can see on the photo.
This bench was at the playground in the airport, nobody was sleeping there as children were playing noisily !
I looked at them grinding my teeth !
At 2 or 3 am, they were still playing the see-saw, the sliding...maybe their parents never want them to sleep so that they (the children) would sleep hence the parents could make more babies during the day ! |

I actually brought some curry-puffs from IKEA but would save them on the flight instead.
So that people would feel jealous of me munching some curry-puffs on the plane !
So that the campy stewards would avoid even looking at me ! |
| | Enough for a few hours sleep, I could my flight at 7.30 am.

Not easy taking this photo as the sun was shining brightly & the stewardesses came to me a few times asking me to shut the window !
I said, just a photo...They smiled back but God knows what they mumbled in their head ! |
| | A few minutes later, I took another photo ! Just to annoy them...
They left me alone as nobody was sitting next to me anyway.
Instead of big plane 3 seaters, I had 2 seaters only, so not even enough to stretch my legs !
The flight was half full...but all the centre 3 seaters were already taken by other passengers, dozing off... |
| | By this 3rd photo was taken...I thought to myself. "Are all places in The Middle East are desert-like places like this !"
"Well, Arnaud, you made this plan to The Middle East, didn't you !"
I heard the pilot announced something, that we were reaching a destination for a stop-over...
