Live kill by two male lions

Two lions kill a giraffe
"This is unique, man." that's what our guide told us when we witnessed a live kill of a giraffe during a night safari. Untill that moment I almost regretted to participate on this night safari in the Krugerpark.
Two male Lions attaqued one giraffe which unfortunately fell. The jeep stopped at less then ten meters from the scene. Not all the visitors were amused by this sight, but the ranger was so excited that he didn't want to leave so soon. "That's nature".
Buffalo's

The Buffalo

The big 5. These are the five most dangerous animals in SA's nature. They are the lion, the buffalo, the rhino, the leopard and the elephant.
Elephant

Elephant

Another one of the big five. Elephant are easy to spot in South Africa. They don't have any natural enemies and in some areas there are even problems with overcrowding by the huge animals.
Giraffe

Giraffe alive

This is a much better way to watch a giraffe then figting for its live with some lions.

Baboons

Baboons are one of the monkey-species in the Kruger park.

Chameleon

This chameleon was found in the mountain area

Penguins

Penguins on Boulder bay

Crocodile

The maximum of eight pictures is, of course, not enough to show the variety of animals.
South Africa is a real nice country if you want to spot animals. Especially in the bigger parks, the animals don't seem to be disturbed by tourists and are easy to picture.
