The Ever Elusive Rae Victoria is my 13 year old daughter - she is a watcher, but more importantly she's seems to accept all she plays witness to without judging - she's a natural Bhuddist. However, this doesn't mean she's always still. She has a passion for life and when she chooses to share with me I feel blessed.

Ali-Bammy This is Al - my 16 year old daughter. Sometimes it's hard to believe she was once a itty-bitty baby as she's now 3 inchs taller than me. Somedays I think "this is cool it's like make your own friend". She makes me laugh till tears run down my face - and not many people can do that. She is full of wonder combined with a strange old lady wisdom - at times she will drop a line and I'll think "damn she's right!! I should write that down!" |
Weekend with the Girls Sometimes you just have to let off some steam. Getting away with the girls - eating way too much, drinking way too much, laughing way too much, crying way too much, flirting way too much. The only rule being if it's not too much pack er in!

Professor E. Dr. E. has a serious job with serious responsibility, with serious obligations. Yesterday I met Jen at our coffee shop to spend the morning catching up on the events of the last week. As I arrived I found her sitting by herself on the deck wearing these sunglasses from Mickey D's, they belong to one of her children. She put them on when she failed to find her serious sun glasses not wanting to venture out with out covering her eyes and couldn't think on a reason to take them off once she reached her destination. Though Jen has numerous reasons to take herself and her world seriously, she just never does.

Live Big and Fast I have a tendency of strolling through life, this is good and this is bad. When this becomes a bad thing for me Mary takes me by the hand and drags me into high gear. Sometimes kicking and screaming, sometimes with my permission. Regardless, without Mary I would not of experienced some of the high adrenaline things I have experienced, and I appreciate that - even if it all was a blur.

The new pup Jo-Jo Why oh why did I agree to another critter? He was sitting in the box, small and scared and helpless. The other puppies looked perky, healthy, I swear they were bullying him! My out of control maternal instinct took over and here he is. Jo-Jo. Offically Victoria was to be the "Mommy" and I the mere "Granny", however I think he sees me as the mama, that could be because regretfully I find myself playing the role. Well, a commitment is a commitment and he is now the newest member of our family. Jo-Jo the dog faced boy. |
