This is a view from The Glasgow Art Gallery in Kelvingrove. the picture is taken from the the bridge over the river Kelvin on Kelvin Way ( Lots of Kelvins there ! )
Anyway the art gallery is presently undergoing a major refurbishment and is due to reopen approx end of 2005 or early 2006 - should be worthwhile checking out because it was good before and they say it will now rival Edinburgh Castle as the top visitor attraction in Scotland after it re-opens. A strange tale about the Glasgow Art Galleries is centred around the very impressive Red Sandstone building, there is a main road outside the front of the gallery, I say front hesitantly because that is the crux of the story, the rear of the gallery has the very impressive Glasgow University in its back garden, just across the river kelvin. Now, there is a wee strory that goes around Glasgow that the Art Gallery was actually built back to front - personally I don't believe it, I can understand people thinking it, due to the main road being at one side, but to me both entrances front or back whatever way you want to describe them are both equally impressive.
