To hike up the the Mittag you will best park your car close to the cablecar in Immenstadt. From there the hiking path in principle follows the cable car to the top. This trip I did with my friends Mikhail and Antonin, who visited me from Gothenborg resp. Munich.
After the first part to the middle station of the cable car, the path leads through a forest. From the middle station to the top you follow the path through the grass land. Here the view gets better and better as further you go.

Flowers! As usual in the mountains.

This is the top of the Mittag. Here the cable car reaches and as a common thing of lots of mountains also here you can find a cross.

The Grünten on the other side of the Illervalley.

A few meters further from the Mittag summit you can find an 'Alm' where you can get a food, like selfmade cheese from the cows running around on the grassland. They also sell fresh milk!
